I love lighting candles at home, especially in the evening, but I recently read that paraffin candles might not be the best option. Some sources say they release harmful chemicals when burned, which got me thinking about alternatives. I’ve seen soy and beeswax candles around, but I don’t know much about them. Do they really make a difference, or is it just clever marketing? If anyone has switched to natural candles, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

This is something I’ve been wondering about too! I had no idea that beeswax candles could actually clean the air. That’s really cool. I mostly buy candles for the scent, but if there’s a way to enjoy them without worrying about harmful chemicals, I might need to look into switching as well.
You’re absolutely right to look into this! Paraffin candles can emit pollutants like benzene and toluene, which aren’t great for indoor air. Soy and beeswax candles, on the other hand, are non-toxic and burn much cleaner. Beeswax even emits negative ions that help purify the air, which is a great bonus. Plus, they last longer, so even if they cost a bit more, they’re worth it in the long run. If you're looking for quality soy and beeswax candles, I’d recommend checking out https://catacandle.com. They’ve got some really nice options made from natural ingredients.
