Guys, has anyone traveled to the Bay of Bengal area with an eye on the casino or just a vacation? My wife and I are thinking about combining the beaches with something more active, and we came across a couple of reviews about sea cruises with casinos in that region. I used to think that only Las Vegas was a good place to gamble, but from what I've read, there's whole industry being formed here.

Last month, I accidentally ended up on the same flight with a group that was just returning from there. From their conversations, I understood that the region is starting to change actively - they are building something, developing, there is a lot of talk about business and tourism. It was funny to watch how people discuss not only recreation, but also some investment projects - it is clear that the place is starting to attract the attention of not only travelers.
We were there just year ago! We weren't planning on anything super active, but we ended up on mini-tour along the coast with visit to one of the casinos on the ship - the atmosphere is completely different, not like in classic halls. Lots of locals, everything is pretty calm, and you don't feel that crazy bustle like in Macau. It turned out that this region is really investing in the development of such tourism - here https://amrajani.com/bay-of-bengal-casino-tourism-economic-potential/ there is lot of sensible description of how all this is developing. For us, it was just nice addition to a beach holiday. The main thing is not to expect super luxury, but to go for the atmosphere.
